edited with Photoshop
(just stretched out the pixels so it fit into the rectangle … the optical effect is the painting itself ;-))

Concurso de fotografía, 6 de junio 2004 (4/5) on Flickr.

Via Flickr:

This is the 4th photograph I submitted to the city’s annual photograph contest on June 6, 2004.
The rules stated that each person could submit 5 photographs, one of which had to be taken at a show put on by the city in the plaza between the city and autonomous region government buildings in “downtown” Barcelona. Another (this one) had to feature the city’s public transportation system. Still another had to feature the city’s port.
In any case, it was a good “excuse” to spend a morning with the kid with a license to shoot… pictures.

(The “theme” for this picture was the city’s public transportation system (the metro).)

have to get back to this at some point but until then it stays like so (via 20100627 _ANOTHER WAY OF SAYING Art Print by Juan Antonio Zamarripa | Society6)

The spread of civilization may be likened to a fire; first, a feeble spark, next a flickering flame, then a mighty blaze, ever increasing in speed and power
